Alex Anagnostou is a glass artist, arts administrator and certified teacher. Inspired by the history of the glass lens and technology, Alex creates glass sculpture to communicate how we see the macro and micro universe. She works mainly with hot glass casting and blowing components to create smaller rotating glass sculptures, complex kinetic hanging installations, and monumental public art projects as large as 18 feet. Her work can be found in four Canadian Embassies abroad, the Quebec Museum of Fine Art and public art projects at the Royal Botanical Gardens and by the Civic Centre in Mississauga, Canada. She serves on the GAAC Executive as Treasurer and coordinated the recent exhibition "Contrasts and Contradictions: The Polarizing Qualities of Glass" in 2019.
