As a watercolour artist captivated by the concepts of light, colour and transparency I have been seduced by the medium of fused glass which exploits the same qualities. Glass, like watercolour, involves an element of surrendering control to the medium. The shifts of colour and shadow cast by the glass as the light changes gives a fascinating ephemeral quality to a material that is made from base earth elements and has a lifespan of thousands of years. Recently moved from Quebec, I have opened a teaching studio and gallery in downtown London, Ontario.
