I've been working with hot glass since 1999, and try to work with minimal environmental impact. I've always felt a deep connection with nature and it's balance between resilience and fragility. My work is inspired by this connection, especially to the wild determined ones that seem to grow in the most challenging conditions and the strong bond and associations we have with them. I don't attempt to make exact replicas of nature but reflect the feel and emotion of each plant.

I use a propane & oxygen torch to melt soda lime glass and sculpt the molten glass in the flame. Each flower and leaf is individually sculpted freehand in the flame & set in a handmade by me wood base
