Kara Bussey (glimpseglass.ca), a Calgary-based artist, is known for her whimsical 3D glass floral sculptures. Using a combination of copper foil stained glass, copper wire, found objects, as well as blown and fused glass elements, she crafts unexpected pieces that break the rules on what people expect from the craft.
Kara combines her communications and public relations education and experience to introduce new eyes to the magic of glass via social media (250k+ followers) and her book "Stained Glass for Beginners" published by Leisure Arts.
Kara finds joy in crafting from her home studio with her two daughters and passion for travel as inspiration.

Commissioned by Toronto fashion designer Mario Fugnito, this one of a kind 3D stained glass bathing cap walked the runway at Fashion Art Toronto in Nov 2022. It's made up of hundreds of pieces of glass connected with copper wire.
