Jay Macdonell
Jay divides himself between three rhizomic fields; working for various artists, designers and architects as a project manager, design consultant and gaffer, maintaining an artistic/social
practice and as Director of Material Exploration and Development at Bocci, a design and architecture firm based in Vancouver, Milan and Berlin. He works as collaborator to Omer Arbel coordinating and experimenting at Bocci’s Vancouver creative crucible. He has worked for artists such as Laura and Alessandro De Santillana, Xu Bing, Angelo Filomeno, Bruce Mau, Catherine Chalmers, and Mildred Howard. He has taught at Pilchuck Glass School, Urban
Glass NY, Pittsburg Glass School, Espace Verre in Montreal and the Royal Copenhagen School of Art and Architecture on the island of Bornholm, Denmark.
