Gurnaz Kaur

Gurnaz Kaur is pursuing her Honours Bachelor of Craft and Design Degree at Sheridan College and is currently in her third year and is majoring in glass. She was born in Punjab, India and moved to Canada at the age of 11 with her family. She experimented with different pathways and finally found her voice after discovering glass. She is a flameworker and her work consists of kinetic play, lattice work, and blown pieces. She is interested in changing people’s perception of glass, while also expressing her emotions through it. In her second year, she got selected to represent Sheridan College and her “Fragile Armour Created By Vulnerable Skin” got published in the GEEX Journal Volume. She also recieved a GAAC Presedential Award for her outstanding acedemic achievement. She continues to push herself and test the limits of glass.
