Borosilicate Incalmo Beads
Joanne Andrighetti
In this flameworking demonstration, Joanne Andrighetti will showcase the creation of hollow borosilicate beads using Venetian-inspired techniques traditionally found in the hot shop. Focusing on the refined process of incalmo—the joining of two or more glass sections while hot—Joanne will demonstrate how this method translates beautifully to the torch. The demo will also explore the use of patterned cane to add intricate visual texture and complexity to the beads. Join Joanne for a dynamic session blending tradition and innovation in borosilicate beadmaking.
