This with be a rapid and free-flowing demonstration of fairly traditional hollow and solid sculpting techniques with a few surprises and some “bad ideas” for good measure. Lumpy on fire, in a good way. It should be a fun piece to see come together.

Artist Bio: Benjamin Kikkert is a Vancouver, BC, artist and designer working in hot glass and mixed media sculpture. He uses texture and patinaed materials to explore impressions of landscape, culture and technology. Benjamin is a Sheridan Craft & Design program graduate, past president of the Glass Art Association of Canada and appeared as a contestant on the Netflix series Blown Away.
