Into the Bath – Copper Electroplating

Gabriela Wilson

This lecture demo will explore acid bath copper electroplating and its applications within glass. Gabriela Wilson will provide an overview of the electroplating process, techniques, materials, and safety considerations, followed by a live demonstration. Attendees will learn how electroplating can enhance glass surfaces of any glass object, including torchworked, kiln cast, or blown glass, and perhaps a few surprise non-glass materials.

She holds a BAH in Studio Arts and Museum Studies from the University of Guelph and an advanced diploma in glass from Sheridan College.
