The Saskatoon Glassworkers' Guild

William Popiel

The Saskatoon Glassworkers' Guild was formed in 1987 to promote the development of glass art and glass artists in the Saskatoon area. The presentation will describe the Guild's creative journey and membership from its beginning in September of 1987 to the present day. Why the Guild is a registered non-profit corporation. How we have, and are providing a positive identity to glass art and craft through mentorship, education, art exhibitions, and community demonstrations through the years. The Covid years will also be discussed, and note changes made, good or bad, to how we now get things done.

Artist Bio: William Popiel began working with stained glass in 1981, drawn to its dynamic interplay of color and light.
